Each chapter contains pertinent histology, figures, and tables to reinforce key concepts and concludes with a series of board-style questions to test your knowledge.

This book's strengths are the broad panel of contributors, the clinical cases, and the review text. The clinical cases are interesting, complex, and will challenge the reader. The review text strikes the correct balance between big picture and details. The general format is the same for each chapter, but occasionally there will be differences in how subtopics are presented. I feel that is attributed to the individual contributors expertise and/or style in how they choose to present the topic. This is a minor critique, but does not detract from the spirit/content of the text.
