JOHN MILTON, PhD, PE Director of Enterprise Risk Management, Washington State Department of TransportationRisk Management for Design and Construction (RSMeans) Review
Excellent book. I have read over two dozen books on this topic and this book is one of my favorites. This book brings clarity to a topic that has been made needlessly complex by many authors and others in this field. The down to earth graphics and explanations on risk correlation (in all its forms) are quite helpful. I especially like the way base variability is described and find the analogy with a gas tank and gas prices one that makes it easy to understand. Project risk management needs to be kept simple and inviting for project managers to implement it and reap its benefits; this book will help project managers achieve effective risk management.
